GigBridge KE

Terms and conditions

Last updated October 2026.

1. Accounts and verification

You must provide accurate information when opening an account. To send or accept a booking, or to receive a payout, your account must first be verified with a national ID or passport and a live selfie. Companies may also provide a business registration certificate.

Verification documents are stored privately and are only visible to you and our review team. We may decline or withdraw verification where information is false, unclear or misleading.

2. Bookings and agreements

GigBridge KE connects clients with talent for live and recorded work. A booking is only confirmed when both sides have signed the agreement on the platform. Agreements may be generated on GigBridge KE or uploaded by the client; uploaded contracts are signed on a GigBridge KE signature page attached to the client's document.

Each booking shows a clear next step. Once a stage is completed it cannot move backwards, so both sides always see the true state of the gig.

3. Payments

Payments are processed through approved payment partners such as PesaPal and M-Pesa. GigBridge KE does not hold client funds in escrow: client payments are passed on to the talent straight after confirmation, less any agreed platform fees.

Where a fee is split between band or line-up members, the payout sheet shows each member's share. The band leader is responsible for paying each member their share unless automatic payouts are enabled.

4. Cancellations

Cancellation terms are set out in each signed agreement. Where an agreement is silent, a client cancelling within 48 hours of the event may forfeit the deposit, and talent cancelling without good cause must return any amounts already received.

5. Music licensing

Talent may publish works to the licensing catalogue and issue licences for agreed uses. A licence is only valid when signed by both sides, and can be checked on the public licence verification page. Licence fees are separate from gig fees.

Split sheets record each rights holder's share of a song or recording. Once all holders have signed, the split sheet is locked; changing shares afterwards requires everyone to sign again.

6. Talent managers

Talent may invite a manager to act on their account with either Bookings only or Full access. Only the talent can sign contracts and change payout details. The talent may remove a manager at any time, and actions taken by a manager are labelled as such.

7. Privacy and data

We handle personal data as described in our Data ownership & privacy page. Private fields such as rates, phone numbers, verification documents and split shares are never shown publicly.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use GigBridge KE to mislead, defraud or harass others, to upload content you have no right to use, or to circumvent platform payments for bookings made through the platform. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
